1609 ခုႏွစ္မွာ Pise ၿမိဳ႕က Galileo Galilei ဆိုတဲ့ အာကာသ အေတြးအေခၚပညာရွင္ၾကီးတစ္ေယာက္က သိပံၼဆိုင္ရာ ပစၥည္းတစ္ခုကို ထြင္ခဲ့တယ္။ သူတီထြင္တဲ့အရာက အေ၀းကအရာေတြကို အနီးကပ္ျမင္နိင္တဲ့ ျပြန္ၾကီးတစ္ခုပါ။ ဘာလဲဆိုေတာ့ အခုက်ေနာ္တို႔ အသံုးျပဳေနတဲ့ တယ္လီစကုပ္ ပါဘဲ။

အမွန္ေတာ့ Galileo ကစၿပီးထြင္ခဲ့တယ္ဆိုေပမဲ့ အေၿခခံသေဘာတရားကို စဥ္းစားခဲ့တာက Hans Lipperhay ဆိုတဲ့ Dutch နတၡတ္တာရာ ပညာရွင္တစ္ေယာက္ပါ။ Galileo က လက္ေတြ႕နဲ႔ သေဘာတရားေပါင္းၿပီး အေကာင္အထည္ေဖၚ လိုက္တာေပါ့။ ပထမဆံုး တယ္လီစကုပ္က အေ၀းကအရာကို ၈ ဆ ဘဲခ်ဲ႕နိုင္ပါတယ္။ (အခုဆို အဆ ၅၀၀ အထိခ်ဲ႕ နိုင္ေနပါၿပီ။)
Galileo ရဲ့ တယ္လီစကုပ္က Nicolaus Copernicus ရဲ့ ထင္ျမင္ခ်က္ကို ပိုၿပီးခိုင္မာေစခဲ့တယ္။ ဘာလဲဆိုေတာ့ ကမာၻၾကီးက တစ္ျခားၿဂိဳလ္မ်ားနီးတူ ေနကို ဗဟိုထားၿပီး ပတ္ေနတယ္ဆိုတာဘဲ။ Greek နဲ႔ Egyptian ေတြက အဲဒိအခ်ိန္တုန္းက ကမာၻၾကီးကို ဗဟိုထားၿပီး တစ္ျခားၿဂိဳလ္ေတြကပတ္ေနၾကတယ္၊ လို႔ယူဆၾကတယ္။ အဲဒိအယူကိုလက္ခံထားတဲ့ Roman Catholic Church က churchmen ေတြက Galileo ကို 1610 မွာစတင္ အတိုက္အခံလုပ္လာၾကတယ္။ ဘာသာေရးကို႐ွဳပ္ေထြးေအာင္မလုပ္ပါႏွင့္ဆိုၿပီး Galileo တရား၀င္သတိေပးခံရတဲ့အထိ ၿပင္းထန္ခဲ့တယ္။ 1632 မွာ Galileo က ပိုမိုခိုင္မာတဲ့ အျမင္ကိုတင္တြင္းခဲ့ေပမဲ့ ဘာသာေရးပုန္ကန္တယ္ဆိုၿပီး အက်ယ္ခ်ဳပ္ ခံခဲ့ရတယ္။
359 ႏွစ္ၾကာတဲ့အခါမွာ churchmen ေတြက Galileo ရဲ့အဆိုမွန္တယ္ဆိုၿပီး လက္ခံခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။ အာကာသ သိပံၼေက်းဇူးရွင္ၾကီး Galileo ကေတာ့ 1642 မွာတင္ အက်ယ္ခ်ဳပ္ဘ၀နဲ႔ဘဲကြယ္လြန္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။
ကမာၻသမိုင္း ရဲ့ ေလးစားဘြယ္ရာ ပုဂၢိဳလ္ၾကီး တစ္ေယာက္အေၾကာင္းကို ႏွစ္ေလးရာျပည့္ အထိမ္းအမွတ္ အေနနဲ႔ တင္ျပလိုက္ပါတယ္။
